Market Volatility = Buying Opportunity
"Be Greedy When Others Are Fearful"
As you know by my name, I love dividends. And in addition to sharing on here, I write regularly on the investment platform- Seeking Alpha.
My goal there is to teach everyday investors about building wealth, so they won’t to need to work to traditional retirement age.
I want to help you take control of your life, have F.I.R.E.
Here at Dividend Collection Agency the goal is to give investors and/or readers a different perspective. We take a simple approach to building wealth. And although investing may seem easy, people often miss opportunities by over complicating it. But we are here to help.
The stock market has been selling off recently.
To make money in the stock market, you first have to understand it. 💵
Here at DCA, our goal is to simplify investing while providing perspective. I don’t sell courses.
When the market sells off, this is usually out of fear as shown by the CNN Fear & Greed Index above.
Falling stock prices just mean investors are selling their shares for one reason or another.
Closer to end of the year this usually happens for tax-loss harvesting purposes.
If you know what you’re doing and what you own, this can be an opportunity.
Like Warren Buffett said: “Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy.”
Market corrections & crashes are normal. Corrections historically happen about every 2 years, and crashes about every 6 years.
But no matter what dividend investors continue to get paid if they own strong businesses.
Red markets should be viewed as an opportunity to build your passive income stream at a better price. 📈
Investor psychology is weird. The stock market is the only place where people get mad or scared when they can buy things at a discount.
This is the difference between an owner mindset and a consumer mindset. 🧠
Having the right mindset is key to being a successful investor.
The two most important factors you need to be successful:
✅ Patience
✅ Equanimity
Volatility = Opportunity.
Stock market volatility transfers wealth from those who panic to those who are prepared.
Which one are you?
