Perspective of the Week
Here’s why you should consider dividend investing:
Verizon (VZ). U.S. Bancorp (USB). Pepsi (PEP).
I collect dividends from all 3 companies but I didn’t just select them because they pay dividends. I bought them because all 3 are some of the largest & most well known companies in the U.S. & Worldwide.
Verizon is one of the 3 largest telecom companies along with AT&T (T) & T-Mobile (TMUS). Most consumers have cell phones that are likely owned by one of the three.
U.S. Bancorp is the fifth largest bank in the United States. Most adults have a bank account. Because of their size, this gives USB size & scale advantages over smaller, regional peers.
Pepsi is the second largest beverage company behind Coca-Cola (KO). They also own popular snacks like Cheetos, Doritos, Poppi, Siete, etc.
Aside from their size advantages, they’ve also paid dividends for many years. Pepsi has the longest streak with over 50 years.
In short, most consumers use or buy these products. So, if you don’t know where to begin, start with what you consume. And maybe consider any of these three.
